Get ready to experience pure sweetness and heritage at its finest!
Chari’s Journey: From Manila to Foodieland
Meet Chari, the passionate owner of the Ensaymada Project, whose story is as rich as her pastries. Growing up in Manila, pastries weren’t just snacks—they were symbols of love and togetherness, especially during the holidays. For Chari, the most magical moments involved her mother’s homemade ensaymadas, fluffy, coiled breads crowned with buttery layers and a sprinkle of sugar, often gifted during Christmas Eve gatherings. “My mom’s ensaymadas were the highlight of every celebration,” Chari recalls. “They filled our home with warmth and joy.”
Inspired by childhood nostalgia and her own love for baking, Chari decided to share this piece of her heritage with the world. Using her family’s closely guarded recipe, she perfected the art of crafting ensaymadas that are both nostalgic and extraordinary. The result? A fluffy, buttery pastry with a light, sweet finish and a hint of salt—a true taste of Filipino tradition.
The Ensaymada Experience: More Than Just a Pastry
At Foodieland, Chari’s ensaymadas are more than a treat—they’re an invitation to connect with Filipino culture. Each pastry is handcrafted to perfection: soft, airy dough rolled with rich butter and sugar, topped with grated cheese or caramelized sugar for that signature crunch. Baked fresh daily, they offer a perfect balance of sweetness and comfort, evoking the spirit of family and celebration. Whether you’re reminiscing about your own holiday traditions or discovering Filipino flavors for the first time, the Ensaymada Project promises a moment of pure bliss.
